Front End Developer

ShopLogic.com is seeking a Front-End Software Developer whose responsibilities will include producing high-quality front-end web code. We are seeking a developer that is focused on code efficiency, code quality, adherence to W3C standardization and developing in a manner which will lend to ease of future code maintenance. You will be working on an independent front-end project that is backed by restful web services. As a front-end developer, you will be required to have the ability to translate written business requirements into technical specifications and then turn those specifications into an effective front-end solution.

Essential Skills

Lead the analysis, data modeling, technical and functional design of the software project through the SDLC utilizing agile methodology
Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement interactive web applications
Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new public-facing products based on ShopLogic.com & customer requirements
Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Document coding and modifications; review API documentation for accuracy
Perform code analysis, code reviews, and software reliability analysis
Perform other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in lieu of
Minimum 5+ years’ front-end experience developing in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experienced with JavaScript frameworks and libraries including React & jQuery
Experienced with UI/UX design (Bootstrap)
3+ years’ experience working in a source-controlled environment (Git)
Full development life cycle experience from requirements analysis through coding and release
Proven experience developing, testing, documenting and releasing mission-critical software
Solid understanding of API design and implementation
Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment, which includes discussions around creative reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to and from fellow team members and clients

Desired Skills

Experience leveraging back-end technologies to integrate server-side capabilities into front-end code such as REST, JSON, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, MVC, C#, Java, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.
